ORIGINAL COMPOSITIONS: ​Some students and I worked together to compose these choral settings!

I presented three poems from Robert Louis Stevenson's "A Child's Garden of Verses." ("Windy Nights" is not included on this recording.) Volunteers sang the first phrase or two on improvised melodies, then we informally agreed on those that best fit the text. Students improvised subsequent phrases to complement those already chosen, then the entire melody was repeated for additional verses. ​I created piano accompaniments after the melodies were solidified.
